This morning started out with a visit to STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math). We continued learning about 3-D shapes with Mrs. Helveston, a.k.a Mrs. Science. “We saw a video on how to draw 3-D shapes.” (Ximena) “We learned to draw a cube.” (Giovanny) “After we drew the cubes, we drew a rectangular prism.” (Jadine)
We continued our math center work with pattern blocks, counting vertices, and sorting shape pictures.
This afternoon we walked around campus to look at the objects that groups took pictures of yesterday. We’ll sort the pictures tomorrow and add them to our shape chart. (Printer issues this afternoon!)
“We talked about our driving question, need to knows, and vocabulary words.” (Yaritza) We created a 2-D shape bulletin board. On our bulletin board “we have shape cards and our shape chart.” (Mozes)
