2nd Grade Garden Project (Day 1) – by Mrs. Dang, Mrs. Jolley, Miss Schorr, and Ms. Filippini’s Second Graders

Today, we went to the Evergreen Farmer’s Market and we learned about how you can plant seeds. (Seut) The Entry Event was cool because we got to try the fruit and vegetables. (Geovany)  The field trip was awesome because we got to look at all kinds of foods that we had never seen. (Lealah) We got popcorn and the man was cooking the popcorn and it was cool how he was doing it. (Victoria) Popcorn is corn so it is a vegetable. (K’Onai) Did you know that the vegetables came from farms in California? (Roxanne) When we got back to school, we found out our new Driving Question. (Jassmin) The Driving Question is “How can we teach others how to be gardeners?” (Anna) Then, we wrote what we Need to Know on the Post-Its. (Josue) We need to know how a plant grows. (Jose) I am looking forward to planting more plants! (Jackeline)
